Alpcycles have sent us this feature to let readers of VeloUK what their calendar of events will be in 2018. If the winter is getting you down take a look through our extensive trip & event calendar and you may discover something that inspires you to get out on the road this weekend and turn some pedals.

For 2018, we always have a good mix of Event packages, such as La Marmotte and Maratona dles Dolomites, all with Guaranteed Official Tour Operator entry and your hotel, airport transfers & resort logistics taken care of so all you have to do is turn up and pedal your bike! We’ll take care of the rest.

Our other longstanding events include the Haute Route 7 Days based in either the Pyrenees or Alps, which are a 9 night package… BUT we know that it’s not always possible to escape for that long so new for this year Alpcycles has launched 4 night packages for the more recently released Haute Route 3 Day events based around Alpe d’Huez in June and the mythical Ventoux in October, so two of Europe’s most iconic cycling destinations. These are also perfect for couples wanting to enjoy an event together.

If events are not your thing but alpine riding is, throughout the season we can offer bespoke options for you, your club, team or group of friends. We will tailor make a weekend or week in the mountains to suit your itinerary and riding preference.

If you haven’t yet seen the greatest show in cycling, the Tour de France, we have the perfect package based from our luxury chalet in the heart of Alpe d’Huez and crammed full of good food, big ride days and Tour de France stage visits including the stage that goes right past your door! This is another of our packages that suits couples and mixed ability riders who want to get away together.

Last, but by no means least, join the Alpcycles guides for a long weekend or week long Big Cols Camp from our home base close to the Col de la Madeleine and enjoy a few days riding in the mountains…
