News: Lotus Cars Cycle Race League Events 2018
Lotus Cars Cycle Race League Events kick off with a full day of racing at Lotus on Saturday 17th March. The Youth races are a round of the BC Eastern Region Youth Racing Series. This must be the first time for weekend racing for at least 25 years. Our thanks to Lotus Cars Ltd for granting permission.
Already had 12 entries including 7 for the 3/4 race and it has only been open since Friday. We have just about fitted everyone in + the races will be a bit longer, especially the Youth races than is the norm for closed circuit races. Larger than average fields are expected.
Now in it’s 13th year, the Lotus Cars Cycle Race League Evening Events total seven in number and start on Tuesday 1st May with the same format as previous years. Youth races from 19-00 to 19-30 and all Junior / Senior Cats at 19-30 for 1 hour.

Other evenings are 8th, 15th &22nd May + 5th, 12th & 19th June. Note Tuesday 29th May not included in case Lotus need the track that evening for commercial reasons. We expect the usual average of 100 riders per evening.
Saturday 14th July sees the Old Buckenham Fete Road Race over 75 miles / 8 laps of a 9.7 mile circuit passing through Old Buckenham which is also the start / finish point. Start will be at Noon from the Village Hall on the green. The event is a BC National B race for Elite/1st/ 2nd/3rd Cat Licence Holders. The Village Fete Committee are keen for the race to be part of the Fete.
Should Saturday 17th March be successful another similar event will be organised on Sat 18th Aug provided it fits in with a free day from use by Lotus Cars Ltd. All events must be entered via the British Cycling On Line and no entries will be accepted on the day.
All races will be judged/timed by the MyLaps Transponder System.
A total of 10 events!
