News: Primal Europe Partner Veloton Wales 2018
Leading cycling apparel brand PRIMAL Europe have partnered with Wales’ largest sportive, which will once again offer a unique experience to cycling enthusiasts and first timers alike in 2018. PRIMAL will be offering an exclusive range of official Velothon Wales merchandise, so riders can cycle in style come Sunday 8 July.
Cyclists will once again take on the fearsome climbs up the Tumble and Caerphilly Mountain on the VELOTHON Wales 140KM course, but a pair of shorter routes will also be on offer – meaning there’s something for every level of ability or ambition. The 125KM lets cyclists bypass the gruelling Tumble climb, and the point-to-point 60KM course will give beginners the opportunity to enjoy the thrill of closed road cycling for the first time.
Early bird entries in the 140KM are now sold out, but riders can still secure a spot on all three routes at www.velothon.com/wales
The 2018 event returns on Sunday 8th July and will see a host of exciting changes, including enhanced event experience, a new celebratory food and drink zone at the finish and registration pack postage included – meaning athletes no longer have to arrive a day early to pick up race essentials.
Run 4 Wales Chief Executive Matt Newman said: “PRIMAL’s range of cycling apparel has always brought a splash of colour and contemporary design to VELOTHON Wales in the past, so we’re delighted to be able to reveal our new range of collaborative merchandise for 2018. We look forward to welcoming cyclists from across the world to South Wales on Sunday 8 July to take in the stunning scenery, picturesque villages and gruelling climbs up the Tumble and Caerphilly Mountain. No matter how tough the challenge, they can look good doing it in PRIMAL’s new VELOTHON Wales range.”
Primal Europe Director James Smith said: “We are very much looking forward to visiting Cardiff again, the event has a special feel and we look forward to adding a little Primal flair to the weekend”.
Official VELOTHON Wales Primal Merchandise is now available to pre-order, and can be purchased via the PRIMAL store at https://www.primaleurope.com/collections/velothon-wales-sportive.
VELOTHON Wales branded socks, jerseys, t-shirts and caps are on offer.
