Crazy Busy Summer for Alpcycles
2018 has been a great but crazy busy summer season for AlpCycles with trips running from May – October across France & Europe at different cycling events and locations, looking after and supporting their clients.
Now as we all head into winter and the off season, the weather has started to change, and the mountain passes begin to close, lost to snow until June next year. So its time for AlpCycles to keep readers of VeloUK informed what they have on the calendar for season 2019.
Alpcycles has become more and more event specific over the last few years, using their experience to support a great range of riders on various events. So this coming summer, they will be adding two more exciting three day events to their busy 2019 calendar.
Keen cyclists can still find all the old favourites: IE; Alpcycles is an Official Tour Operator for the famous La Marmotte Granfondo, the toughest one day event in France. Or, the Maratona dles Dolomites – Enel set in the stunning Italian Dolomites.
These two events are amongst the oldest and most respected Granfondos on the cycling calendar and both have run for over 25 years. As Official Tour Operators, AlpCycles packages include guaranteed entries as well as all the other elements; airport transfer, accommodation, support, advice & years of knowledge of each event and the area it is held in.
All you have to do is quite literally eat, sleep, ride, repeat…
The now well-known Haute Route events have grown substantially over the last few years and they now offer events all over the world. With AlpCycles having Official Tour Operator status for the last four years, they offer packages for the classic 7 Day multi stage Pyrenees & Alps events (August) and have added to this with packages for their ever growing 3 Day concept, consisting of 2 Stage days and a Time Trial on the last day.
These shorter events are ideal for riders to get that “Pro feel” over a long weekend or to use it as a stepping stone to the bigger 7 Day challenges.
AlpCycles 2019 Calendar will include; Alpe d’Huez 3 Day, Dolomites 3 Day and a great way to finish the season with the Ventoux 3 Day in October. All three of those events are set in some of the most legendary cycling terrain you can find.
There’s more! For 2019, AlpCycles will be running an Etape du Tour 2019 Accommodation & Logistics package with the route being right on their doorstep. If you have your entry and want to travel with a package that takes care of all the logistics and allows you to give the event you’re all, this is it.
All AlpCycles usual elements are included, and our hands-on approach means we ensure the weekend run smoothly for you, so all you need to think about is turning the pedals.
Long Weekends in the Mountains
But, if events are not your thing and you just want to enjoy sometime riding in the mountains with likeminded people? AlpCycles are as always, offering their long weekends which are a great opportunity to get some solid training in or just ride and enjoy some legendary Tour de France climbs and stunning scenery over 3 days of riding.
Or, if you are looking for something more bespoke or have a group trip to organise, all you need to do is get in touch and AlpCycles can put together the perfect itinerary for you.
Ultimately, whatever type of cycling trip you are looking for, competitive or non, Alpcycles are certain to have something that you like the look of in 2019 or we can create it for you.
Look forward to seeing you in the mountains in 2019
