Road Season starts Feb 10

The 54th Perf’s Pedal Race will take place on Sunday 10th February 2019.

The race will do 5 laps of the Portsdown Hill circuit starting from Southwick before turning off the circuit with 5K to go to finish at the top of Lodge Hill making a total distance of 74K.

The event will again incorporate an award in memory of James Atherton and Rich Schofield for the best placed BC South Region 2nd Cat rider. The unusually pleasant weather conditions for the 2018 edition of the race resulted in a large number of finishers with a bunch sprint for third. Perf’s 2019 will be using Project 51 to provide the race results.

Now that all National level races are becoming more complex to organise, Mick Metcalf will again be joint organiser giving admin support and dealing with BC online entries which will open in early December and will close on Sunday 20th January 2019.

The race will use BC South Accredited Marshals and NEG will be present to assist with the safe passage of the race. As is usual with any February event, we are now in the hands of the weather and look forward to six weeks of forecast watching between the new year and February 10th.
