Two wins and a near victory for former elite Jonny Towers, daughter Alice and son Lucas in South Africa

News: Success for Towers Family in South Africa

After success on the track on a boxing day meeting in South Africa, the Tower’s family turned their attention to the road and came away with even more victories.

There were two wins for former elite Jonny Towers and daughter Alice whilst son Lucas came close to adding to the wins in his race in South Africa. All three rode the Western Cape Road Race championships on Saturday before returning home to Britain.

Jonny Towers, who rode at Elite level on the pedal cycle in Britain, and was having his first road race in four years, is also a world class racing motorcyclist. Jonny of RST Racing/Cycle Division won the veterans race by a street in a sprint.

Daughter Alice, part of a select group of riders in the RST Racing/Cycle Division colours, was having her first race as a junior and went on to win the Junior women’s road race.
