News: Didcot Phoenix Celebrate Two Members

Didcot Phoenix Cycling Club recognises its two most wonderful members at its annual awards dinner. Mick and Marion Fountain were awarded the National Cycling Time Trials Organisation’s highest honour for their contribution to the sport at DPCC’s awards dinner.

The award of the Gold Badge recognises their considerable contribution to the sport of time trialling. If you have raced time trials in the London West District, the chances are you have been counted down, pushed off or timed at the finish line by Mick or Marion.

Sheila Hardy (Chair of the CTT) presented the awards at DPCC’s awards dinner on January 26th. This was the first time ever that the award has been simultaneously bestowed on a ‘2-up team’ and is a considerable honour for the club. Marion and Mick each received the CTT’s Gold Award in the presence of their fellow club members and family.

We hope that you will join with us to celebrate the contribution that Mick and Marion have made to DPCC, the London West District and time trialling in the course of their illustrious and dedicated careers.
