Three time Olympic champion Ed Clancy, part of an eight man line up from Vitus Pro Cycling p/b Brother UK, heads the entry for the 2019 Edition of the early season classic, the Eddie Soens Memorial.

Startlist: 58th Eddie Soens Memorial

Saturday, 9th March; Aintree Racecourse; 9.30am

Over 150 riders will line up for Merseyside’s early season classic at Aintree Racecourse on Saturday, the Eddie Soens Memorial. The 50 mile (80km) race is run on a handicap basis and always attracts a huge entry. Leading the entry for 2019 is three time Olympic champion Ed Clancy, part of an eight man line up from Vitus Pro Cycling p/b Brother UK. Other star names include former British RR champion Russell Downing, Ian Bibby, Jonny McEvoy and Matt Holmes of Madison Genesis.

Contested over 30 laps alongside Aintree’s world famous Grand National course, it is the 58th edition of the race and the race gets underway at 9.30am and access for spectators is free.
