New: Ribble Cycles Mountain Bike
Designed and developed in the UK for tough trail riding, the new Ribble Prototype MTB currently known by its project name HT/650/Ti is Ribble Cycles latest product evolution.
Andy Smallwood, Ribble Cycles CEO outlines “The HT/650/Ti project is completely aligned to the new Ribble brand strategy and further highlights our passion and expertise in product design and R&D. MTB is a new and exciting market for us so it only felt right to start our exploration with a high end hardcore Titanium platform designed by riders for riders”.
Designed by the Ribble in-house R&D team, embracing the “building the bikes we want to ride” philosophy and tested on UK Trails, the HT/650/Ti is built from Triple Butted 3AL/2.5V Titanium, designed around a 150mm travel fork with a very contemporary geometry that combines confidence inspiring agility and stability through the long wheelbase, short stem, slack head angle around a wide bar with its ability to put the power down with maximum traction due to the big tyre clearance up to 650×2.6” and tight back end.
Jamie Burrow, Ribble Cycles Head of Product establishes “This has been an excellent project to have led. The HT/650/Ti is the result of taking the detailed and very specific product requirements and feedback from riders combined with seeing how far we can push the ride capabilities and attention to detail envelope in Hardtail MTB design. Titanium was the material of choice due to its natural material properties and unique ride characteristics”.
The attention to detail that has gone into the frame is phenomenal with custom shaped and butted tubing, shot in seat stays, strengthening and stiffening gussets where required, first to market internal cable routing including rear brake, gear and full internal dropper post routing for a super clean look. 44mm headtube, double seat clamp bolts and thru-axle complete the spec.
Darren Bishop, Ribble Cycles Senior Mechanic and MTB specialist adds “Taking my years of MTB riding and testing experience and being part of the HT/650/Ti project design process, from conceptual idea through to actual full on prototype trail testing has been amazing and has only re-affirmed that the HT/650/Ti project has delivered the bike I want to ride”.
The HT/650/Ti is a high-end Titanium Hardcore Hardtail designed for tough UK trails.
Further information including build options, delivery dates and pricing will be revealed shortly.
