Ford CC Go Race #1 25th April (first race of the 2019 series)

A field of 27 riders lined up for the first race of the 2019 series and first race at the Dunton test track for over 2 years. We welcomes back many riders from past seasons but also were glad to have a good news of new riders to the Go Race series. The weather conditions were sunny, dry but a bit of a chilly wind.

The race started with a few minor breaks but settled into a group quickly and stay like that until the first prime when Brad Tomlin held off the field to win that. The group reformed and again stayed together until the second prime when Rob Mason held off Tom Goodhew to win. The countdown to end of the race then started and this did not tempt anyone into making a break so it came down to a final sprint where Brad Tomlin held off a challenge from Tom Goodhew and Rob Mason.

It was great to see the Go Race series return and looking forward to the next race on 9th May.
