New Junior Team for 2020
A new junior racing team, Tofauti Everyone Active, is set to make its mark on the UK scene in 2020 and is on the lookout for new talented riders to apply. Tofauti Everyone Active has been set up to assist in the development of young riders in and around London who aspire to go one further in the sport.
The new British junior team will consist of 12 riders, six male and six female, for 2020 and has already completed the male roster. With a few places left to complete the female outfit, Team Manager Ian Mansel-Thomas has put a call out for applications.
“With a number of strong junior teams on the race circuit, you’d think that there are plenty of options for aspiring young cyclists but we saw something missing in what young riders were offered by a team structure,” explained Mansel-Thomas.

“We’ve developed a new kind of junior team, one that offers a strong support network both on and off the bike. We’re all very excited and eager to get the season going but there are a few pieces to slot in before January and filling the female team roster is paramount.”
Tofauti Everyone Active has already secured a number of important partners for the season ahead, including its title charity partner, The Tofauti Foundation, founded by three-time Olympian and Gold medallist, Crista Cullen.
“The Tofauti Foundation, was set up to have a different (its meaning in Swahili) approach to impact on the ground in Africa, for the benefit of both communities and wildlife,” explains founder Cullen who is looking to try and work with passionate people to give them opportunities that they otherwise may not have had after all that is what she attributes her success to.
“I have been so lucky to be given opportunities in sport, and when given the chance to partner with the junior cycling team, I thought what better way than engaging with young aspirational stars of the future. Tofauti is all about achieving things together, and being apart of this team will do exactly that. I am so looking forward to building on this partnership and helping to develop the next generation of cyclists.”
Other partners already onboard for the 2020 season include Everyone Active, the team’s lead sponsor, who run sports centres across the UK. The team will be riding a combination of UK and European races as they look to develop resilience, determination and racing success for an aspiring roster of young riders.
