News: Brother UK Sponsor Crimson Performance
Press Release
Brother UK will continue its sponsorship of the Crimson Performance-Orientation Marketing cycling team for a third consecutive season in 2020.
The Manchester-based team, led by rider-manager Matt Hallam, an entrepreneur and bike fitting expert, will enter the new campaign with a strengthened squad and increased budget. Phil Jones MBE, the Managing Director of Brother UK, said he was delighted to extend Brother UK’s support for the Manchester-based outfit, which enters men’s and women’s teams in local, regional and national events and even hosts its own races.

“I’m delighted to announce that Brother UK will sponsor the Crimson Performance-Orientation Marketing cycling team for a third consecutive season in 2020,” Jones said.
“Brother UK believes strongly in the value of long-term relationships to create sustainable and reliable businesses. Matt Hallam’s professionalism and determination to manage the Crimson Performance-Orientation Marketing cycling team as a business aligns perfectly with our beliefs.”
Hallam founded the team three years ago to promote his online power analysis platform. The Crimson Performance business has grown in parallel with the cycling team, and both entities enter the new decade in a position of strength. Hallam, widely regarded as the North West’s leading bike fitter, said Brother UK’s financial support was essential to the running of his team, which has retained all of its founding sponsors.
“We’re extremely grateful for Brother UK’s continued sponsorship. Without their financial support, we simply couldn’t compete in national events or host races in the North West designed to give local riders a sporting chance,” Hallam (above) said. “On a personal level, I’m also very grateful for the advice I’ve received from Phil Jones MBE on the commercial realities of running a team and a business. Not every young entrepreneur or team manager can pick up the phone and call a senior business leader. Cash sponsorship is rare in domestic cycling, but the value of Brother UK’s support goes further even than financial backing.”
While the Crimson Performance-Orientation Marketing team comprises male and female squads, the focus in 2020 is likely to rest upon its elite men’s team. Hallam has made a series of significant signings in the closed season, intended to place the team at the sharp end of the domestic peloton this season.
