News on the presenting sponsor (MinebeaMitsumi) for the Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix and the Sportive

News: Lincoln Grand Prix
Organisers delighted to announce MinebeaMitsumi as presenting sponsor for the Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix. MinebeaMitsumi, will present the Mens Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix of over 103 miles and the Womens Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix over 63 miles on 10th May 2020.
Also taking title sponsorship of the MinebeaMitsumi Michaelgate Challenge awards which are awarded on a points system to the first 3 riders across the finish line each lap. MinebeaMitsumi are the former Rose Bearings Ltd, an historical Lincolnshire business, now manufacturing and supplying technical bearing products to aerospace industry and aircraft manufacturers.
“Airbus and Boeing aircraft take off and land on bearings made in Lincoln, and from this technology market place we are proud to join with the dynamic and popular world of cycling at this local but national event. The Grand Prix is a great credit to the race organisers and a showcase for our City by promoting sporting excellence and encouraging well being through sport and leisure. As a local employer of some 350 people in the wider Lincoln area, we are directly connected with the community and we are delighted to have this opportunity to support and promote this community event, an historic race presented by a Lincolnshire heritage partner.”

Their products are of the highest standards and are used around the world, something we aim for with each edition of the Lincoln Grand Prix. Both MinebeaMitsumi and our organising team realise the importance of the event for the City, in both ecomonic and prestige terms, and it is a pleasure to be working with them on the event”

There are just 10 weeks to go until the highlight of the Lincolnshire cycling scene, the Lincoln Grand Prix weekend, on May 9th and 10th. Take on the closed road cobbles climb of Michaelgate at the end of your ride. Just like the Pros, you’ll be finishing at the bottom of historic Lincoln Cathedral.
