News: Zwift X Ribble Spring Series launched
Press Release
Ribble Cycles are delighted to announce the launch of a new Ribble Spring Series on Zwift whereby anyone has the chance to ride, train with and compete against, Pro riders of the Ribble Weldtite Pro Cycling team – the UK’s Nº1 race team.
Running every Friday for the next 9 weeks, riders will be able to ride and train with the Ribble Weldtite team using Zwift, the online cycling simulator. With a range of structured events taken from the specific training programs used by the team and an opportunity to engage with the riders, this series offers the opportunity to take on the Pro’s and see what it takes to be part of an elite cycling team.
“Times change and we have to change with them – the Ribble brand and product range is about inclusivity whether commuter, fitness rider or World Champion athlete and Zwift and the new Ribble Spring Series gives all riders including myself and the Ribble Weldtite Pro Cycling Team the ability to adhere to the Governments current advice, whilst increasing their event specific fitness with a bit of friendly competition thrown in and continue to prepare for the rest of the racing season or cycling challenge” said Andy Smallwood, Ribble Cycles CEO.
Ribble Weldtite Pro Cycling are the perfect testing ground for Ribble’s high-performance bicycles. The strains and stresses of professional racing provide valuable feedback that ensures every bike Ribble produce performs to its best.
Tom Timothy, Ribble Weldtite Team Principal, said of the series announcement, “Our partnership with Ribble has propelled the team and the riders to new levels of success. This Zwift X Ribble series is yet another great innovation for a domestic British team and a clear example of how we set ourselves apart.”
The first of the Spring Series will be on Friday 10th April at 6pm BST. More info: https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/blog/zwift-x-ribble-spring-series/
