UAE Team Emirates signs Marc Hirschi

Marc Hirschi who rode for Team Sunweb, has signed a three year deal with UAE, a team with a lot of young talent making waves in the cycling world

Swiss rider joins the Emirati squad on a 3 year deal. The 22 year old from Bern, Switzerland had a breakthrough season in the pro ranks in 2020 with highlights including a stunning solo stage win in the Tour de France, victory at Flèche Wallone, second place at Liege-Bastogne-Liege and a bronze medal at the World Championships.

Hirschi, former under-23 World Champion, will now join the team at their pre-season camp in UAE.

Marc Hirschi : “Firstly, I’d like to thank my previous team for everything they’ve done for me over the past three years. I am now happy to be able to say that I am joining UAE Team Emirates. I’m really excited about the move. We share the same approach and goals. The UAE team is moving in the right direction and have been growing a lot over the past years. I look forward to benefit from that dynamic, both for the team and the development of my career”.
