News: 2021/22 CX Season British Dates

The 2022 British Cyclo-cross Championships will be held at the South of England Showground in Crawley. The venue was due to hold the 2021 championships earlier this month, however the event was sadly cancelled due to the current Covid restrictions in place across the UK.

Dougie Fox, of national championships organisers Crawley Wheelers Cycling Club, said: “The disappointment we have all felt over the last 12 months has turned into excitement as we get the wheels back in motion for the new season and prepare for the 2022 national championships. Our events team has already started the hard work to ensure the South of England Showground is competition-ready for the flagship event and what we know will be a memorable weekend of racing.”

The dates for the National Trophy have also been revealed. Westmorland County Showground in Cumbria, which hosted the only round of the 2020/21 National Trophy series, will return to the calendar once again from October 9-10, while two new venues complete the series. These are Callendar Park in Falkirk (23-24 October) and Herrington Country Park in Sunderland (20-21 November).

National Trophy Series 2021:
Round 1: Moorways, Derby: 25 – 26 September
Round 2: Westmorland County Showground, Milnthorpe: 9 – 10 October
Round 3: Callendar Park, Falkirk: 23 – 24 October
Round 4: Herrington Country Park, Sunderland: 20 – 21 November
