CAMS-Tifosi for Healthy Ageing Tour 2021

CAMS-Tifosi, the UK-based UCI Continental women’s cycling team, can reveal the rider line-up for the Healthy Ageing Tour now confirmed for March. The Healthy Ageing Tour 2021 will be running from March 10 to March 12 in Holland, after being moved from the usual April date, as events try to run despite Covid-19 disruptions. The event was confirmed just this week but it was also announced it will run with no spectators permitted.

As elite athletes the team and riders are permitted to compete under strict Covid-19 restrictions that will be in place throughout the event. The race will be the first competitive event that CAMS-Tifosi has been able to attend since an early season race in February 2020 when the team’s riders fared well at the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana in Spain.

The rider roster for the Healthy Ageing Tour in Holland is:

Emma Edwards
Jess Finney
Jenny Powell
Hayley Simmonds
Jo Tindley
Kate Wootton

Team Principal Simon Howes said: “To be able to announce a rider roster ahead of an actual race is a fantastic feeling for me and all of the riders and they are all incredibly excited to have been invited to race. Our riders have been working extremely hard in training over what would have been the 2020 racing season and throughout the winter months and we hope this dedication will show at the first race we have been able to attend since February 2020!

“The riders chosen for this event are a great balance between some highly-experienced racers and some really strong riders who will enjoy the experience and show just how good they are. All of us at CAMS-Tifosi have been really lucky to have the unwavering support of CAMS which came out at the start of the pandemic in 2020 to stand by the three-year sponsorship deal signed at the start of 2020. This has allowed us to focus on team development and keep working towards racing success once things were allowed to restart.”
