News: Lincoln Team Ready for Lincoln Champs

The British Road Race Championships will be held in Lincoln and a team to watch are a Lincoln team, Pro-Noctis/Red Chilli Bikes/Heidi Kjeldsen. Established by Lincoln man Rick Lister in 2020, the team have taken the road cycling scene by storm in what is only their first season.

Recently the team won the Road Series team crown for 2021 and will go into the British Road Race Championships as the leading domestic cycling team in the UK. The team of nine riders is led by Lincoln’s Jo Tindley, who last weekend took the East Midlands Road Race title in Market Rasen, with an impressive lead of 4 minutes, after a solo breakaway in poor racing conditions.

34-year-old Jo Tindley, one of the most experienced riders in the British peloton, has had a fantastic season. In August Tindley, secured the Tour Series blue jersey, having led the sprint competition from start to finish. The Tour Series is Britains leading televised series of cycle races.

The team is supported by Lincoln companies, Delta-Simons, Ellmore Clothing, Hemswell Court, Hiatt Decorating, ProMasters Racing, Cockadoodledoo Communications and Ringrose Law. Lincoln last hosted the National Road Championships in 2015. The 2021 British National Road Championships week, will be a first as Lincoln is set to host the Circuit Race Championships (also known as the Criterium Championships) in the same week. This has never been done in the UK before.

The National Road Championships will take place in Lincoln 14-17 October, the road races will conclude the championships on Sunday 17 October, and will follow the route of the Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix.
