Entries are needed for the Hell of the North Runway at RAF Cosford on Easter Sunday April 17, the second time in 12 months that the RAF base in the West Midlands has hosted bike racing.

Entries are needed for the Hell of the North Runway at RAF Cosford on Easter Sunday April 17, the second time in 12 months that the RAF base in the West Midlands has hosted bike racing.

The race programme consists of a Regional A men’s race, which is round two of the West Midlands Road Race League, a women’s National B event, which is round two of the West Midlands Women’s Road Race series, and a race for under-16 boys and girls.

“We successfully reintroduced racing here last summer, and this is a great venue, a big traffic free circuit of nearly four miles, using the runway and the surface roads, with one of the widest finish straights I know,” said the organiser, West Midlands chair John Ireson.
