Circuit racing returns to Shrewsbury Sports Village – Sundorne in 2022 after extensive repair & improvements to the track surface, Newport Shropshire CC are hosting the first of two planned circuit events at Sundorne this season on 14th May 2022 for Youth, Junior & Seniors in collaboration with Mid Shropshire Wheelers and Hafren CC who will host the later event on 23rd July.

Following the previous well established template for Sundorne Crits the overall format of the day will be:

— 6 Youth races in the morning forming round 2 of the West Midlands Youth Circuit Series.
— 3 stand alone races in the afternoon offering Cat 1/2/3 and 4 (& including juniors) racing for both men and women with the women’s race also being open to Elite women.

— Youth races will start from 10.00
— Senior races will start from 13.30

While we are hoping for a little less mud, Newport Shropshire CC are very excited to be hosting the first British Cycling races at Sundorne since our friends at Mid Shopshire Wheelers organised the amazing National Cyclocross Championships in 2020 where superstars of world cycling, Harriet Harnden and Tom Pidcock, won their national champions jerseys.

Online Entries
Entry will be by online entry only using the British Cycling system. Non BC members will be required to pay for a day licence where necessary to ensure they are insured to race.

Entries will close at 23.55 on 12th May 2022 and no late entries will be accepted.
