Charles Emmerson was the winner in a photo finish with William Metcalf at the Will Houghton Circuit Race at Hillingdon on 28th August for cat 3/4 riders

Crit Result: Will Houghton RR (Hillingdon)

With the lack of accredited marshals and helpers available, this event was forced to move to the Hillingdon Cycle Circuit. The format had to change but we still got 90 mins of racing with £100 1st prize and racing was set to be competitive. Throughout the race riders were attacking to get clear but soon brought back due to the high speed of the race. As the riders went around the circuit anti clockwise, looking across at the back straight it was clear it was going to be a bunch sprint.

Four riders battled out a very close sprint with the winner Charles Emmerson and 2nd William Metcalf only 1cm apart. 3rd went to Jack Lee and 4th James Buchanan. I would like to thank all the riders and helpers for a great race and we raised lots of money for the fabulous Will Houghton Foundation.

Also racing legend Colin Roshier for his help on the day and handing out the prizes. It was quite fitting as Will Houghton first started riding at the Hillingdon Circuit.
