Crit Result: SACA Salt Ayre Tuesday Series 12

It was a well attended Masters Over 40 3/4 cat race which had separate age groups for 40+, 50+ and 60+. At around half distance in the 40 minute event, Jeff Wood (Weaver Valley CC) and Gareth Kerr (Lakes RC) got a gap and then, two laps later Steve Abbott (Hoppers Rollers) bridged to them. These three stayed away to contest the win for the 40+ group with Steve Abbott coming out on top. In the bunch sprint Kev Chadwick was 6th to secure first in the 50+ group and Brian Pearson (Lakes RC) 13th to win the 60+ group.

In a fast and attacking 55 minute 2/3/4 cat race, it all came back together for a bunch finish with Alistair Thomas (Crimson Orientation Marketing RT) getting the win from James Claydon (Tactic Sport UK Race Team) and Dan Eastham (Cog Set Papyrus Race Team).
