Crit Result: NW Regional Circuit Champs

The Womens Championship had a good field of 14 starters, the biggest field we have seen for some time. It was a 50 minute plus 5 laps race run off on a drying track after the morning rain. There were a number of attacks and attempts to split the field but it all stayed together for a bunch sprint. The first 3 were all North West riders so took the medals.

Cat 3/4
The 3/4 support race didnt carry any medals but had a good field of 21 starters for a 40 minute plus 5 laps race. There were several breaks which looked like they could be successful but it all came back together for a very close photo-finish sprint won by the promoting clubs Ted Birkbeck.

E/1/2/3
The Mens Championship saw our biggest field for several years with 41 starters in a 60 minute plus 5 lap race. It was all action from the off with constant attacks, breaks and groups all over the circuit making it hard work for the judges. It was a small breakaway group who sprinted out the win with a mix of NW Region and non-local riders.

Organised by Giant Kendal within the 3rd of their summer series events, with support from SACA.
