2023 Highlights
There were many highlights for the team including some stunning victories in the classics. In the Tour of Flanders, the team’s Cat Ferguson won and was then second in Gent-Wevelgem behind British rider Izzy Sharp. In the French stage race, Gevuadan Occitanie, Cat Ferguson was 5th overall and winner of the White (Young rider) jersey. Cat also won stage 2 of the race.

The team’s travelling abroad continued and in Spain for the Bizkaikoloreak stage race, Cat Ferguson won stage 1 with Imogen Wolff third. On stage 2, Cat Ferguson was second and finished second overall, Best Young rider, and her team was third in the Team GC.

Back here in Britain, Cat Ferguson, a first year junior, showed her world class talent on the bike when she won two of the Cold Dark North Proper Northern Road Races for women at Capernwray and Oakenclough. It got even better when Cat was second in the British Circuit Race championships in Redcar.

There was more success for the team’s Juniors in the British Monument, the Lincoln Grand Prix when Imogen Wolff won the Ian Emmerson Michaelgate Trophy and both her (9th) and Cat Ferguson (6th) finished in the top 10 of this major British road race.

The team of juniors continued to race against the seniors in the big races and at the classic Otley town centre Santini Grand Prix for Women, Cat Ferguson was 2nd, Lucy Glover 5th and Imogen Wolff 6th. Three in the top six! In the Junior Women’s Road Race, the team had two in the top three with Lucy Glover 2nd and Cat Ferguson 3rd. Cat also won the Junior Time Trial championship.

Better was to come as the team made the podium at the World Road Championships with Cat Ferguson second in the road race and Imogen Wolff was 5th. Cat, who has just won two Silver medals in the 2024 World Cyclocross championships, showed her multi discipline talent by finishing second in the European Track Championship Omnium in 2023. There was more European championship success in cyclocross with Cat second and Imogen 5th.

The team had a great start to 2024 as well with Cat winning the Junior Women’s British Cyclocross Championship following on from Imogen’s win in 2023.

Looking through all those results shows how busy the team was in 2023 and they will be busy too in 2024. Out of all that racing in 2023 came the news too that Cat Ferguson will finish her time as a junior by moving up and riding as a stagiaire for WorldTour team Movistar in Spain.
