Eddie Soens winner Jack Hartley headlines start list for the Midlands classic, the Evesham Vale Road Race (Evesham Wheelers) along with the likes of Steve Lampier and others on March 17
STARTLIST: Evesham Vale Road Race 2024
Race Start Time: 9:30am, Sunday 17th March 2024
HQ: Cookhill Village Hall, Evesham Road, Cookhill, B49 5JR
Distance: 62.1 miles/100km (4.6 Laps)
The HQ is located at Cookhill Village Hall, situated north of the Inkberrow circuit on the A441. Hot drinks and cakes will be available for purchase at the HQ both before and after the race. Toilet facilities are provided, however there are no showers available on-site. The compulsory pre-race rider briefing will take place inside the HQ. Please ensure cycling shoes are removed before walking on the wooden flooring inside the village hall at all times.
Course:
• Neutralised from HQ, turn right onto A441 for approx. 1 mile, then take right turn onto A422
to join circuit. Race will then be deneutralised. Please take care on this steep descent.
• Continue through village of Inkberrow, to take acute left (care needed here) at Flyford Flavell
after 6.6 miles onto unclassified road through village. Please pay attention to possible hazards
eg parked cars through both villages.
• Finish is on this road after approx. further three miles. Proceed through finish on unclassified
road, taking care on narrow sections.
• After 2.5 miles from finish turn left onto B4088 at Weethley Gate. Take care not to cross
double white lines that follow this junction.
• After further 2.8 miles turn left onto A422 to complete circuit, taking care on steep descent.
