The Fensham Howes – MAS Design Junior Men’s team which races internationally and has helped riders fulfil their potential over the years has revealed their 2025 team

One of the latest riders in the team to sign for a pro team, Seb Grindley, racing for Lidl Trek Devo in 2025

Fensham Howes – MAS Design was created in 2019 with the objective of supporting Britain’s most talented 16 and 17 year old male cyclists make the transition from youth racing to a development pathway with a World Tour Professional Team. The project has been on many layers a great success. “We are considered to be the top junior team in the UK and widely respected internationally” says the team.

The team continues to be independent of any world tour team and continues to be run and staffed entirely by volunteers. A group of people willing to give up their time to travel round Europe with the future stars of our sport.

From the first five years, the riders who have gone on so far to begin professional careers are:
• Sam Watson – Ineos
• Bob Donaldson – Jayco Acula
• Max Poole – DSM
• Finlay Pickering – Bahrain Victorious
• Mattie Brennan – Visma Lease a Bike Devo
• Jed Smithson- Visma Lease a Bike Devo
• Jacob Bush – DSM Devo
• Seb Grindley – Lidl Trek Devo
• Elliot Rowe – Visma Lease a Bike Devo

For the 2025 season all of our sponsors have once again committed for another season and the team will have six riders:
• Luca Bednarek (2) (re-signed for a second season)
• Max Hinds (2) (re-signed for a second season)
• Harrison Dainty (2) (re-signed for a second season)
• Henry Hobbs (2) (transfer from Willebrord Wil Vooruit Juniors)
• Seth Jackson (2) (transfer Willebrord Wil Vooruit Juniors)
• Leon Atkins (1) (signed from 258 Protégé)

The season starts as usual with the U19 Kuurne Brussels Kuurne Classic in Belgium.

Team Manager Giles Pidcock said “We’re really happy to have brought this group of young riders together. We now have a national champion, a world champion and between them a team that can be making the racing wherever they go. We are looking forward to going wheel to wheel with the world tour development teams, their money and their expertise. We’ll be bringing talent, great bikes, determination and a sense of adventure”#

Long time sponsor Mark Scatchard from MAS Design said “I’ve supported this project since it’s inception. I love cycling of course and want to help the sport but what I really enjoy is being part of something so positive and helping young people achieve their dreams. Highlights are being in the team car behind big bike races and just being part of such an inspirational project for young people”.
