Result: Severn Valley Circuit Race Series 1

A lovely sunny yet windy day which made the home straight a real test fighting into the headwind. There was some spirited racing and despite the strong wind, two solo winners in the Youth A/B event and the final days 2/3 event.

Early in the Youth A/B race, local B category riders, James Trippier and Mid Shropshire Wheelers Jude White combined for several early laps to try and break the older Youth A riders. As soon as they were caught another of the Shrewsbury Sports Village riders, Tom Oxley countered and despite a concerted effort by the other riders came home a minute clear of second place.

The 2/3rd race started at at breakneck 45kmh with big digs by Kirk Vickers and Ben Goodwin before finally Stolen Goat rider Goodwin really did ride like he’d stolen it by lapping the field. Team mate Daniel Piercy with Lui Pollastrone and Mathew Higgins initiated a late charge from the split bunch to contest the minor placings.
