Bike News: Ribble Cycles Alloy Bikes

PRESS RELEASE: Lancashire, United Kingdom: Ribble Cycles is proud to introduce two new additions to the ALLROAD family: the ALLROAD AL and ALLROAD E AL. These new models bring the performance, carbon fibre looks and versatility of the ALLROAD range to more riders than ever with a more accessible price point. Built for real roads, real weather and real riding, they’re designed to meet the demands of everyday cyclists.

Engineered for the harsh UK roads and year-round weather, they thrive in any condition. The aluminium frames use aero tube profiles inspired by Ribble’s top-end carbon models. They’re tough, comfortable and ready for anything: commuting, winter training, sportives or weekend rides.

The bikes are fitted with complete Shimano groupsets, no shortcuts. With such high-spec components and clean design, they’ll fit right in on any club ride and still turn heads. It’s all about giving riders the freedom to ride without limits.

Key features and innovations of the ALLROAD AL and ALLROAD E AL include:
— Enhanced aluminium construction – Utilising a lighter and stronger 7005 aluminium alloy, the frame tubing is hydroformed to mirror the sleek, aero-profile of Ribble’s premium carbon and titanium ranges.

— Complete Shimano groupsets and Customisable spec options – The bikes come built with full Shimano 105 or Tiagra groupsets, plus can be upgraded, including carbon bars and wheels

— Aerodynamic tube profiles – Inspired by Ribble’s top-tier Ultra series, the hydroformed tubing features an aerodynamic profile, offering both a sleek look and improved efficiency.

— Fully integrated cable routing – Achieving a clean, cable-free aesthetic only previously found on Ribble’s carbon models, including integrated cockpit options.

— Advanced bottom bracket – The T47 threaded bottom bracket provides improved stiffness and further facilitates internal cable routing.

— Class-leading weight – With frames tipping the scales at 1,650g (ALLROAD AL) and 1,900g (ALLROAD E AL) respectively in size medium, they deliver significant weight improvements over their predecessors, ensuring a light and responsive ride.

— Endurance geometry and 35mm tyre clearance – Designed to provide comfort on even the harshest roads, the bikes feature endurance geometry and generous clearance for up to 35mm tyres, even with mudguards installed.

— Wedge-style seat clamp mechanism – Achieving a cleaner and more aerodynamic look, as well as more protection from the elements and an improved hold.

— Versatile mounting options – With two bottle cage mounts, and mounts for both mudguards and rear racks, both models are ideal for commuting, epic adventures, and everything in between.

The ALLROAD AL is available with both Shimano Tiagra HRD and Shimano 105 12-speed groupset options, both featuring DT Swiss G1800 wheels and Pirelli P7 32mm tyres, and a Selle Italia Model X saddle as standard.

Riders also have the option to upgrade to Hope RX24, Vision SC45, or Mavic Cosmic S wheelsets, as well as Ribble carbon round (RB2) handlebars and Selle Italia X3 XP Lady Boost Superflow, SLR Boost Superflow and SLR Boost Superflow Lady saddles.

The ALLROAD E AL also incorporates the new Mahle X30 e-system, which achieves a lighter weight and with a higher IP rating than the previous X20 system, as well as featuring a torque sensor and over-the-air software update capabilities.

The X30 e-system comprises:
— X30 drive unit – Delivering 250W and 45Nm of torque in a robust, almost silent 1.9kg rear hub.

— iX2 battery – This 237Wh battery can be complemented by an eX1 (171Wh) for extended range.

— HMI – Allowing users to adapt their ride with real-time terrain sensing.

— Torque / PAS sensor – AI-driven torque sensing adapts dynamically to riding style and environment, achieving a tailored experience.

The ALLROAD E AL is also available with both Shimano Tiagra HRD and Shimano 105 12-speed groupset options, both featuring Mavic Allroad X30 wheels and Pirelli P7 32mm tyres, and a Selle Italia Model X saddle as standard.

Riders also have the option to upgrade to Ribble carbon round (RB2) handlebars and Selle Italia X3 XP Lady Boost Superflow, SLR Boost Superflow and SLR Boost Superflow Lady saddles.

“We built the ALLROAD AL and ALLROAD E AL to give more riders access to what makes ALLROAD special,” said Sean Hastings, Ribble’s CEO. “A bike you can be proud of, that feels right on the road and stands up to whatever conditions you throw at it. These bikes follow the same design thinking and ride principles as our top-end models. They’re just now available to more people.”
