A sensational ride from Karl Denton sees him win the GS Metro Hill Climb at Hedley on the Hill, Northumberland.

A sensational ride from Karl Denton of Blumilk.com of 4’27.3 gave him a comfortable margin over runner up Ian Taylor of Adept Precision RT. Denton successfully defended the title that he won in 2011 on the same hill.

A favourable tail wind on the upper slopes of the course saw some very brisk times with the top 7 all dipping under 5 mins. Joe Mann of Derwentside CC was the first junior in 5’04.0 to nudge Kyle Watts of Tyneside Vagabonds CC into 2nd place. Both juniors finished in the top 10 overall.
