Conall Yates and Peter Tadros make it two individual wins for Ingear-Trainsharp plus the team award (with Jamie Beale)Â in the Festival RC Open 10 mile trial on Saturday …

Despite Wouter Sybrandy being unable to start after his nasty crash in the Tour of Britain, a high quality field remained to post some outstanding times in sunny if a little breezy conditions at Holmwood, Dorking. Overall winner in a fantastic 20.26 was Conall Yates of In Gear Trainsharp RT with Peter Tadros, also from In Gear/Trainsharp close on heels in 20.38 having ridden 55 minutes earlier in the separate Road Bike competition.
Seb Ader of a3crg was third overall in 20.42 with Richard Prebble of Node4- Giordana in fourth, the only other rider to break 21 minutes. Joining Conall and Peter was Jamie Beale to send In Gear Quickvit Trainsharp RT to win the Team award in 1-05-38.
Fifteen riders entered the Road Bike competition for riders without Tri-Bars, Disc Wheels or Aero Style helmets. Peter Tadros won in a superb 21.47 with Niall Digby of La Fuga Sigma Sport second and Marcus Brueton of Norwood Paragon 3rd in 22.43 and 22.44 respectively. Niall also rode the Standard TT competition in a time of 21.12, 1m 31sec faster to show the varying difference in benefits of Aero technology from rider to rider.
Fastest Lady was Deborah Percival 34th Nomads CC in 24.57 in a close race with Emma Craddock of South Downs Bikes in 25.16 who unfortunately went off course. Deborah also rode the Road Bike competition with a 27.03 on her second ride.
Thank you to the timekeepers, Frank Cubis and Mike Labram, all the Festival RC helpers, supporters and of course the riders for entering – Colin McDermott, Festival RC
