Germany’s André Greipel, (Lotto-Belisol) carried on his winning streak from the Tour Down Under in the Tour of the Mediterranean and leads the race won by Jon Locke in 2012.

André Greipel won the first stage of the UCI 2.1 ranked stage race, Limoux-Gruissan over 141 kilometres, his fourth win of the season after winning three stages in the Tour Down Under. Greipel beat Aussie Matt Goss who had failed to find a way to beat him on his home turf and again in France, was unable to find an answer to the German’s speed in the sprint.
