South East & Eastern Regional Cyclo Cross Championships facing cancellation find a last minute reprieve.

Faced with no promoter or venue to host the 2013 Championship event for the first time in 40 years, one of the countries most prolific Cyclo Cross organisers has stepped in at the last minute to ensure that this year’s event can take place.

Organiser Steve Grimwood, promoter of the 2012 National Championships, 2012 European Championships & National Trophy has come forward with an all new venue at Trinity Park Ipswich for the Regional Championships – incredibly, the 4th National Standard Cyclo Cross Course for the small Suffolk Town.

With just three weeks to go, riders from the South East & Eastern Regions are encouraged to get their entries in as soon as possible to guarantee a place in what is looking to be a superb new event.

The venue at Trinity Park, The Suffolk Showground, Ipswich is shaping up to be a great course. Based on a predominantly flat grass showground riders could be forgiven for thinking this will just be an easy blast round a field but fear not, with some cunning loops & turns, a long road straight, some woodland and a sneaky dash onto a 4×4 test area the riders can be assured of a worthy test.
