It was always a big goal for us to diversify the team by supporting both men and women. We originally aimed to launch the women’s race team in 2019 but an opportunity opened up for us to support a group of women who had been let down by a team who folded at the start of this season.

Their passion for racing and drive to support grassroots women’s racing fitted in perfectly with our team values. The team will actively support women’s racing in and around the North West, we hope that the women can help boost participation in local races by inspiring like-minded cyclists to give racing a go. We have a strong support network with our sponsors who really engaged with the idea of building a new women’s race team. We feel like it’s a big step forward in terms of showcasing our sponsors in both men’s and women’s racing. We are joining a select group of UK elite teams who support both men and women and we are extremely proud of that.

In recent weeks the women have been racing across the North West with 4 riders finishing in the top 10 at the Leverhulme GP.
