Piste (Track Bike)
One of the most striking bikes was the track frame, the Piste. The track addition to the range is the striking Piste model manufactured utilising world leading Toray carbon. The design of this frame has had a lot of input from multi World Champion and multi medal winning Paralympian Darren Kenny.
This model is currently available as frame only and comes complete with headset, carbon seat post, full carbon forks and steerer. Optional carbon extensions, base bar, arm rests and stem are available as is the newly designed cowling which can be used when racing on the drops. This frame has been developed to be used for bunch or timed events hence the headtube cut out for the pursuit stem and for racing in bunch events.
Carbon layers have been increased in optimal areas to give stiffness to the frame where required. The seat post clamp mechanism is incorporated in to the top tube to give smoother lines also aiding clamping location. There are wheel adjusters on the rear dropouts, and the dropouts are also ribbed for added grip to aid the prevention of wheel pull when starting out the gate.
Tested to high levels with many podium places already gained, the Piste is the track model to beat. Standard price is £1335 or £1395 including the aero pursuit stem.
Ligero Disc V2 (Aero Road Bike)
The Ligero Disc V2 is Estrella’s aero road bike. With hidden cables, the frame is as aero as possible and better still, lighter than the original Ligero Disc. With riders wanting to ride wider tyres these days, the new Ligero Disc V2 has clearances for such wider tyres too. The frameset comes complete with the handlebar/stem combo and is priced at £2250. An example build option price is £6295 built with the new Sram etap AXS. Rob, the designer also points out that the handlebar height spacers are in two pieces so there is no need to undo all the cables to raise the bars!
LisoDisc V2 (Endurance Race/Sportive Bike)
The Liso Disc V2 is Estrella’s endurance/race bike available in rim brake version too for the weight conscious (bare weight 830gm size M). The evolution Liso Disc V2 has a few changes from the original frameset including flat mount fitting for the disc brake callipers, new hidden seat post clamp and improved cable routing.
The rim brake version has UK specific routing for the rear brake as well. There’s also some smaller changes like different tube profiles which results in the new frame being slightly lighter and with stiffer rear end. Standard frameset price is £1585 and like all our framesets it comes with headset and full carbon seat post. An example build price, again with the eTap AXS is £5,750.
Estrella Fangoso V2 (CX/Gravel/Multipurpose)
The Estrella Fangoso V2 sees quite a lot of changes with the biggest changes being the option to run either 700c (up to 42mm) or 650b (up to 2.1″) and moving to flat mount fittings. Estrella have managed to drop the weight slightly too and like all the disc models, it is now thru-axle to give a stiffer build overall on the bike. Standard price for the frameset, once again including headset and carbon seat post, is £1375.
Fugaz V2 (Time Trial)
The Fugaz V2 is the successor to the Fugaz V1 and is Estrella Bike’s ultimate time trial weapon. They have incorporated a slightly wider stance of the flattened stays and fork which creates a clear zone for turbulence caused as the wheels turn. The rear brake calliper sits behind the bottom bracket and is covered by a shroud whilst the front calliper is nestled within the front fork making it aerodynamically efficient.
The Fugaz V2 combines maximum aerodynamics and most modern design. The greatest progress has been made with the redesign of the stem, handlebar and brake integration, where the initial contact is made with the wind. There is no longer the traditional handlebar clamp, but a directing mounting system. This allows a low height to reduce the frontal area to obtain an important aerodynamic advantage.
The main tubes and intersecting points of the seat post clamp, bottom bracket and head tube have been moulded to cut through the wind yet still remain as comfortable as possible and it has a longer wheelbase to handle better in cross winds. The flight deck comprises of incorporated flat bars and stem and whilst the bar width and the extension width are fixed, everything else is adjustable such as fore-aft and lateral adjustment of the arm rests. Every full build or frame only purchase comes supplied as frame, forks, seat post, stem, base bar, arm rests and extensions.
Clasica Road Bike
Built with Toray T800 carbon, the design of it takes full advantage of Toray’s world class grade carbon achieving stiffness at critical points whilst the remaining carbon layup dampens much of the road noise making for a smoother ride. Only recently, the Clasica gained a podium position in the Junior Kuurne – Brussels – Kuurne one day classic, so it is just as happy being raced over cobbles as it taking part in a sportive through the lanes.
The endurance geometry features a more relaxed riding position, with a slightly taller head tube that helps maintain a comfort that can be enjoyed for long days on the bike and reducing lower back stress.
The Clasica also provides an optimised central riding position for improved stability. This position also enhances the overall handling characteristics. Whilst you don’t have to ride the Clasica fast, to enjoy everything it has to offer, going quick lets you know it will spring into life when you want it to whilst you enjoy the effortless motion and crisp handling. The ideal choice for riders looking for a competitively priced, well balanced, quick, robust and race-worthy road machine. The bike is compatible with both mechanical and electronic groupsets.
