To celebrate the presentation of the 2023 Tour de France, Santini, who supplies the custom clothing to iconic races like the Tour de France, has announced that the jerseys worn by the Grande Boucle leaders will now be customisable for other riders also. The speed suits used in the time trials as well as the road skinsuits will be made available to teams too.
These products are ultra-technical cycling wear that often prove pivotal to victory as happened in the 2022 edition. As is the case with the other leader jerseys, Santini’s Yellow Jersey is made from two absolutely eco-friendly fabrics. Both are made by local manufacturers from 100% recycled PET and advanced yarns. The front and pockets have a weave designed to enhance thermoregulation under stress such as the hot July days during the Grande Boucle. A sleek second skin fit, hidden zips and rawcut sleeves with an internal silicone grip.

The road and time trial speed suits are the product of consistent research and development focused on structural analysis of materials to improve combinations of fabrics, cut and wearability. The aim of our R&D is to find materials that in terms of elasticity, position and structure, positively influence air coming in contact with specific areas of the body, creating a continuous micro-flow that exerts aerodynamic thrust. Tested in both the lab and wind tunnel to deliver the very best performance in any situation, of course.
These high performance characteristics are now available to all teams, male and female: the same technology used for the official kits and suits is now available in our Custom line. What this means is that teams can use the same cycling wear as the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes leaders for their own kits and suits – personalised with their colours, graphic designs and logos.
Underpinning this new offering is, of course, Santini’s awareness and understanding of the significance of jerseys: to enthusiasts they give a sense of belonging, a recognisable symbol, the shared glue of every team. Hence our desire to offer the same technical wear as the top champions.
To support this initiative, Santini has completely redesigned and relaunched the www.santinicycling.com/custom platform which will guide each customer through every stage of every aspect of personalising their team’s kit: style, designs, comfort and performance.
An instant online solution that means anyone can have their own Yellow Jersey that draws on the same experience, care and craftsmanship as the original and using the same fits, processes and materials that Santini uses for the Tour de France.
