Result – Welsh 50 mile TT Champs

Kieron Davies of Drag2zero.com stormed around the Abergavenny based course in a blistering 1:39:10; smashing his previous pb by more than 5 minutes and (subject to ratification) beating the Welsh Comp Record.

Most thought his win was far more predictable than the previous evening’s World Cup Rugby match win by Wales at Rugby HQ but just as welcome! Conditions were a bit nippy as Paul Griffiths of Cardiff Ajax rolled away at just after 8 am. There was a clue that conditions may be fairly good when the first sub two hour ride was done by no. 14 and first time 50 rider Nic Cleave of Swansea Whs/CS Abertawe with a 1:59:49; eventually good enough for 19th place.
