News – Wessex League at Botley

Fareham Wheelers return to the YMCA Fairthorne Manor at Botley for a fourth time for some Wessex League Cyclo-Cross actiono on December 13. The event is round 11 in the Wessex cyclocross league.

Race organiser Phill Chinn is looking forward to the first of two events that the club are putting at the same venue in a month. “It’s a great venue, everything you require to put on a cross event, and at this time of year there is bound to be plenty of mud”. The course has been slightly changed through the woods this time.

Phill adds it’s a shame it coincides with the national trophy round again. “We’ve always had a good turnout despite this. I’d love to see a full Wessex league field on my course, but I always get good racing from some great cross racers, plus it’s a chance to get some good points for the non trophy riders”.

There are discounted entry fees for online pre entry.
