With a little over two weeks to the closing date of February 16th for the classic North Road CC Hardriders 25, entries are slowly building up with just under 60 at present with riders of note below.

The organisers are hoping that a repeat of last year doesn’t occur when an overnight cold snap saw the race being cancelled due to icy conditions. As in past years, there is always the potential for having course changes in the run up to the day due to roadworks but all entrants will be kept informed should this occur.

So fingers crossed, the riders will be facing the delights of Carbone Hill, Darnacle Hill, Tylers Causeway, Cucumber Lane in the first half of the event before the run to Essenden Hill and the last few drags to the finish.

HQ again will be Queenswood School pavilion on Shepherds Way, Brookmans Park with the first rider off at 8:01am.

A list of riders entered to date will shortly be available on www.northroadcc.org.uk

Entries at present include former winner and current holder of the Thistle Trophy, Ashley Cox of CC Luton and other riders of note include Liam Maybank (Twickenham CC), Roy Chamberlain (Corley Cycles), Rhys Howells (Richardsons Trek) and Daniel Northover (Finsbury Park CC).

Winner to hold Thistle Trophy for 1 year
Overall: up to £300, £200, £100 for 1st, 2nd & 3rd respectively with awards down to 10th place
Fastest Vet on CTT target time: £30 with awards down to 3rd place.

Fastest Woman : Subject to number of entries: minimum of £60 rising to at least £125 (with awards to 5th place) if more than 10 entries

Prizes for Juniors and Juveniles, 1st and 2nd places, £30 and £10 each respectively.

Fastest Team of 3 riders £30 each.
