Result: Great Budworth Spring Road Race

The Racing Chance Foundation hosted the Great Budworth Spring Road Race on Saturday 16 April 2022. The race was the first event to be held under British Cycling Technical Regulations in Cheshire for at least five years. It was a competitive race, which saw 43 women take to the start line, with a group of around 12 eventually detaching themselves from the rest of the peloton, in the last mile or so. The final sprint was won by Wigan Wheelers’ Harriet Gilson, from Georgina Oakley (Inflite), Heather Nickson (VC Londres), Amy Loftus (JRC Interflon), Vanessa Fursden (Thames Velo) and Gwyneth Parry (Paramount CRT).
