Held at Southwick over 10 laps of the circuit with one climb per lap, three riders, Bryce Matthewson, Renzo Casale and Matthew Humpage broke away near the start of the first lap and were never seen again by the peloton. After a few laps Adam Robertson sensed the danger of the move and bridged across the 30 second gap alone. The break held an advantage over the bunch of around 25 – 40 seconds for the next few laps until this extended to a minute in the closing laps as others tried to bridge but failed.

Adam won both primes with apparent ease over the finish climb and was a clear winner from Matthewson, Casale and Humpage as the break came in 18 seconds clear of a chasing group of 4 led over the line by Harley Mathews from Jake Jackson. First junior was Alasdair Mildred and first Vet Michael Briars.
