Report, results & photos from the West Suffolk Wheelers & Triathlon Club Grass Track meeting at Fornham All Saints near Bury St Edmunds on August 3rd

West Suffolk Wheelers & Triathlon Club Grass Track meeting at Fornham All Saints near Bury St Edmunds saw Lewis Meadows win the 800 metres after Rowan Elliott allowed a gap to open which he was unable to close despite a blistering finish.

In the other National League counting event, the 8K, Graham Collins attacked with 10 of the 32 laps to go with Woodbridge rider Tim Weller (University of Exeter) but soon pressed on alone to win from Lewis Meadows and Leigh Haigh.

Young riders formed the largest part of the entry and in the Under 12s overall winner across a variety of races (an “Omnium”), was West Suffolk Wheelers’ own Sam Asker ahead of Mildenhall CC pair Josh Murad (2nd) and Colin Mantle (3rd).
