Wow, three weeks of beautiful hot sunny weather meant the Halesowen Friday Night track league continued without any worry of rain! The relaxed friendly feeling at the league made for some exciting racing with changes to the scheduled programme proving popular with the riders. The Derny came out for some Kieran events for all fixed wheel riders with the exception of the A cat riders who had a paced scratch race with the derny at speeds of 40mph for 8 laps then the derny peeled of and it was a flat out 2 lap sprint. It was a great spectacule to watch and there were some tired riders after.

Another surprise race for the riders was an Italian pursuit where every fixed wheel rider took part split into 2 teams of 12 of mixed ages and ability, it really was the highlight of the evening. Hopefully the good weather will continue for the next week, if you want to come and ride (track riding experience required) or just spectate then come on down.
