News – On track for cycling success
Whether on the road or on the track, the sport of cycling has never gripped the nation as much as it does now. With the country’s elite currently racing for glory at the UCI Track Cycling World Cup in Hong Kong, and recent British success in the Tour de France, the Norwood Paragon Cycling Club (NPCC) is turning its attention to developing the next generation of cycling greats.
The NPCC is currently offering two places on its Development Rider Membership programme, a scheme designed to help young people in the Reigate area to achieve their cycling ambitions. Founded in 1904, the club has a rich history of producing young cycling stars, both on the road and the track, and provides coaching and support to ambitious riders keen to make their mark.
Through the Development Rider Memberships, the club support young cyclists on a number of fronts and provides for*:

•   Access to expert coaching and race day support from successful, experienced racers amongst the club’s membership.
•   Free racing kit
•   Discounts at Maison du Velo
Commenting on the scheme, Andy Murray, NPCC Club President, said: “We are very proud to be associated with young riders in cycling and we hope that our new Development Rider Memberships will give two ambitious junior racers the opportunity to invest fully in their passion.â€
