The Hammer is being organised by Cycle Sport South Hams, a non-profit cycling club who have decided to organise a sportive to raise the profile of cycling in South Devon and to raise money for Diabetes UK.
“2012 will be the first time that we have run the event” say the organisers, “but we are hoping to make this a fixture of the annual sportive calendar.” The Hammer is a fully supported cyclo-sportive of 130km through the quiet country lanes of the South Hams in South Devon.
We will have two feed stations, electronic timing, broom wagon with mechanical support and photography for riders. The event takes place on 1st April 2012 and entry will be £25 at http://www.entrycentral.com/index.php?festivalID=&raceID=101180 , with 25% of the entry fee going straight to Diabetes UK.
