Ashley Brown and Adam Duggleby, also of the Sportscover Altura Racing Team, took second place with Team Swift filling the final spot on the podium.

Collin was benefitting from a training camp in Spain last week and him and John Tanner were the first of the two Sportscover teams to set off at 1.40pm on the sporting course which had a combination of fast roads for the first 10 miles before turning onto rolling and twisting lanes over undulating terrain. Ashley and Adam started twenty minutes later and at an intermediate time check, the two Sportscover teams were only five seconds apart and both up on their rivals from time trial specialists, Team Swift.

On the back half of the course, John Tanner and Collin Humphrey were matching each other’s turns at the front on every drag, gaining valuable seconds on the rest as they returned towards the finish. Clearly riding well together, their time is thought to be a course record of 47.58 while Ashley and Adam’s time of 49.16 was enough to see off Joel Wainmen and John Surtees (49.27) for another Sportscover Altura Racing Team 1-2.
