The Tour De Bretagne moved into some seriously mountainous terrain and for the first time in this race, there was no rain and that made the riders happy. What would not have made them happy though were the steep climbs which saw the gaps start to open in the peloton and Endura Racing’s Erick Rowsell took full advantage with 10th on the stage which moved him up to fifth overall.

Rob Partridge (Endura Racing) continues to lead the King of the Mountains competition with an eight point lead over the second placed rider while Erick Rowsell leads the Combine classification with Rob Partridge 5th.

The race began well for Endura Racing with Rob Partridge third over the first climb of the day to extend his lead in the KoM competition and then Erick Rowsell took some bonus seconds in the first mid race sprint and then did the same in the second one. Those extra seconds helped him move up to fifth.

With the climbing in the race splitting the peloton into little bits, both Erick Rowsell and Jonny McEvoy made it into the front group at the start of the final uphill push to the line where Erick was 10th in the front group (at 11 seconds from the stage winner) whilst Mark Christian (AN Post/Dolan Bikes) was in the second group where he was 31st at 13 seconds, a few places ahead of Jonny McEvoy.
