Matt Bottrill the only rider under 20 minutes as he wins the Mapperley CC Open 10 mile time trial on June 2nd

Matthew Bottrill (www.drag2zero.com) won the Mapperly cc 10, held at Calverton in Nottinghamshire. The undulating course has never been renowned for setting fast time’s but this did nothing to stop Matthew Bottrill equaling his course record of 19.49, on a wind swept day.
“I came here in quite a relaxed mood, put no pressure on myself and produced a good ride. I now have to keep calm for the rest of this week and get ready for next weekend’s National 25 mile championship. That my main goal for the year. It’s going to be a great battle, with Micheal Hutchinson (In-Gear/Trainsharp) and Alex Dowsett (Sky) and I know I have prepared the best I could have done. I’ll be riding the best equipment out there as well so it will all come down to luck on the day. But I’m ready!!”
