The tall figure of 2010 Junior 25m Champion, Conor Dunne, wins the Hemel Hempstead 25 with a 51.31

Conor Dunne (VL Technics-Abrutriek – Belgium), in his first time trial of the year and on his way to Ireland to compete in the Irish TT and RR Championships next week, won the Hemel Hempstead 25 in a time of 51:31 which is believed to be the 2nd fastest ever on the course after Canadian Pro Matt Anand’s Student Championship win in 1998 (51:09), despite the rather blustery conditions.
Ex Student Champion Danny Axford (Arctic SRAM RT) (still at a Uni but now working) was 2nd, 1:30 down and Ross Clarke (Team Milton Keynes) a further 42 seconds back. Winning woman was Hemel Hempstead CC’s Jody Conibear and the promoting club also won the team with Ian Baynes, organsier John Lacey and veteran John Dowling combining to record 2:54:59.
