In a popular race with British teams, Conor Dunne has won the first stage of the An Post RAS ahead of Node4’s Mike Northey
![]() |
A former Glendene CC rider, Conor Dunne (the tall one!) has won the first stage of the Irish An Post RAS in a two up sprint with New Zealand’s Mike Northey. They went clear with still 20 kilometres to go and built up a lead of a minute or more before the chase closed that down to only 23 seconds at the finish. Holland’s Roy Eefting was third just ahead of New Zealand’s Rico Rogers who rode last season in Britain.
Teams from Node4-Giordana, UK Youth, Rapha Condor JLT, GB Academy, Scotland, and IG Sigma Sport are among the teams competing in this UCI 2.2 race.
