Dorset 2 Day: Robbins Defends Yellow!

Tristan Robbins (Cardiff JIF) defended his yellow jersey on stage 3 of the Dorset 2 Day.

Robbins is no fan of flat time trials but flew round the flat 2.5 mile course at Moreton, his 5:39 two seconds clear of Ben Davis (Bristol RC). Sam Redding (Spin rotor primal-c original) took third a further second back and is well placed to challenge for yellow.

A few riders were unlucky to get caught behind horse boxes attending a nearby equestrian event but most had no problems on the pan flat course. The biggest loser was Richard Cartland (Echelon –rotor), second overnight Cartland slipped down the GC after clocking 05: 58 for 22nd place in the time trial

What was said? Tristan Robbins “I will try to stay at the front and control the moves, it looks like hard course where people can sneak away. I have got to be on my game, keep watching and use the yellow jersey to try and shape the race,making sure people chase when we need to and maybe even trying to get across to a break to build on my lead”
